Can you believe it’s been 4 years since I started my business!! Those of you who have been there since the beginning will appreciate how much my business has grown, and is still growing. There are still new people coming into the studio every week. I am so lucky to be doing something I love. With the current economy I urge you to keep shopping locally and at small businesses like mine. If you want to see us stay open you need to keep supporting us. Thanks to all of you, Thanks so much!!! To celebrate 4 years there are many great things happening. The first big surprise is that I am doing a free kit this season!! The first 25 customers to spend $25.00 will get a free kit!! Use that free kit to create a project ( can be a scrapbook page, cards or something else creative) bring the project into the studio and have a chance to win a $50.00 gift certificate. Customers will get a chance to vote for their favourite. There will be prizes for 2nd and 3rd place too!! This kit features papers from one of my new favourite companies, October Afternoon. Kits will be available March 1st. You won’t want to miss out on this special deal. Don’t forget that Winter contest pages are due by February 28th. Congrats go out to Melanie Hill from Metcalfe who won the Fall contest and a $20.00 gift certificate. Scrapbooking talent must run in the family because Melanie’s Son Noah, who is 8 years old, has been chosen as my first children's guest designer!! You’ll have to stop by the studio to see Noah’s work, great job Noah!! The next exciting news is that I will have my annual anniversary sale this year . For one week everything in the studio will be 30% off and selected items will be 40% off!! I may even have a few 50% off deals, you’ll have to come check things out. You won’t want to miss out on this sale the week of March 23rd to March 28th. More news!! I’m having my Spring crop on Saturday, May 23rd, 9AM to 4PM. At the Winchester arena. I expect this event to sell out so please register early (40 people max). Join us for a day of prizes, classes, challenges, vendors, a scrapbookers yard sale, pot luck lunch , and more!! The cost is only $15.00 and $10.00 for members. The first 15 people paid get a free goodie bag. For only $5.00 you can get a table to sell all your gently used scrapbooking items (limited tables available). If you can’ t attend the crop you are welcome to come and shop!! Memberships are now available for 2009, if you haven’t yet please renew for the year. For only $30.00 you can use my studio anytime during open hours. Available for use are all my tools, stamps, Cuttle bug, Cuttle kids, spellbinder machines, stamps, paints, stencils and tons more. You get double stamps on your frequent buyer card the last Saturday of every month, heads up on special deals, free Scrapbooking & Cards Today magazine (reserved for you), reduced fees for crops, and more. New products continue to arrive in the studio. Some new products are already in stock from : October Afternoon, Maya Road, gel-a-tins, Imaginisce, My Little Yellow Bicycle, Copic, Ranger, Tattered Angels, Magic mesh, EK Success, and More! I am expecting new CHA items from : Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, Imaginisce, My Little Yellow Bicycle, DCWV, October Afternoon, and more. I am placing my orders at the end of every month so if you wish to order something be sure to get the order into me before the end of the month or you’ll have to wait until my order the next month. If you would like to book a crop, class, or event please contact me. I will do a class for 3 or more people at your convenience. You book your own date, time and project. I have over 75 different projects available to choose from. Some of the choices are: Clear wall hanging, altered canvas, tons of mini album classes, scrapbook in a box, accordion album, basic or advance scrapbooking, card classes, Cuttlebug , techniques classes and so many more. Please stop by the studio to see all the amazing projects from my Design Team some of which are featured in this newsletter. These projects and more are displayed in my studio and are all available for us to “scraplift”. There are some great ideas to see from the Design Team’s Challenge as well. Don’t forget to fill out a ballot for the monthly draw every time you make a purchase. You could win some great scrapbooking goodies. The new Spring issues of The Canadian Scrapbooker and Scrapbook and Cards Today will be arriving soon. Due to increased costs I will be getting only 50 issues of the Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. Members will get the issues free and have a copy here reserved for them. Non-members will get the issue free with purchase, on a first come first serve basis. I also expect issue #3 of the Canadian Scrapbooker Basics to arrive soon, let me know if you want me to set aside one of these for you (many people are collecting the set). Don’t forget I do children’s Birthday parties as well. You must book in advance, these are very popular!! For only $15.00 per child (Birthday child is free) you can make a project of the child’s choice and make free invitations. There are prizes during the party, and more. Doing my part to reduce and recycle. I do no purchase plastic shopping bags (haven’t in my 4 years in business). Please collect your advertising free bags and bring them in for me to re-use, or bring your cloth/canvas grocery bags to use when you shop here. The reusable grocery bags are a perfect fit for all the 12 x12 scrapbook items.
