Fall news 2008

Fall is a really busy time around the studio, tons of new classes, products and the Fall
crop!! My studio will also be open more often as my business continues to grow, the
new Fall/Winter hours are:

Wednesday 1:00 to 4PM, Thursday 1:00pm to 9:00PM, Friday 1:00 PM to 9:00PM
and Saturday 9:30AM to 12:30PM, hours are subject to change, please call or check
the web site.  I will be offering classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings and
some Saturday mornings and some Thursday afternoons in order to accommodate
everyone.  I will be offering more classes for adults and children this season and if you
need to book a class with friends at a different time, I will offer you a class at your
convenience.

You are welcome to come and work on your projects  during open hours.  You can pay
the $2.00 drop in fee or it is $25.00 a year for membership. It’s a great deal, you can
use all my tools,  die cutting machines, stamps, punches, paints and a ton more!! I am
also here to help you learn the latest  techniques and I have a lending library to help
too.  Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult if they are under 12
years of age. Please check the class schedule on some Saturday mornings, Wednesday
or Thursday afternoons there may be a class at on at that time and may be limed space.

Due to increased costs my class fees will be going up for the Fall. Adult classes will now
be $25.00, children’s classes $20.00 and Birthday parties $15.00 per child ( Birthday
child is still free). I will be limiting the class sizes in order to give you more assistance
during class time. I continue to try and offer the lowest prices on scrapbooking and
paper crafting supplies.

Fall means back to school and if you are interested in going back to class yourself, there
are plenty of classes to choose from this Fall. New classes for Adults this Fall include:
Star album, word album, clear wall hanging, Christmas cards, Making Memories
Noteworthy mini album, Butterflies and Blooms techniques class part 2, and an altered
clock class. Kids classes include: back to school planner, altered clip board, A
Halloween scrapbooking page class,  a Christmas gift class ( kids make a surprise  to
give as Christmas gifts), and a special best friends girls only mini album class. The will
be one afternoon a week for seniors, to learn scrapbooking and  card making. One
Wednesday afternoon a month, 1:00 to 3:00PM, will be for seniors to come learn how
fun paper crafting can be. There are 2 member’s only studio dates for the Fall as well.

The Fall crop will be October 4, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 4:00PM at the Winchester
Community Centre. This crop will be pot luck, there will be tons of fun, don’t miss out on
this great day. I already have several sponsors who are donating some great prizes.
There will be door prizes, challenges, goodie bags for the first 15 people registered and
paid, pot luck, classes, hourly prize draws, specials and plenty more. The crop is only
$10.00 and $5.00 for members. For only $5.00 ( free if you bring a new friend to the
crop) you can get a table and sell your scrapbooking goodies at the scrappers yard
sale. You can also share a table with a friend if you like,the public is welcome to attend
the sale. There will be a card class in the afternoon for only $10.00 ,  with instructor
Patti Clark (back by popular demand!!). Please register with me and you also get an
instruction sheet so you can make these great cards at home!!

Congrats also to Michelle Otterman,  and Pam Furlong who all won prizes in the
monthly draws. Every time you make a purchase or take a class enter the monthly draw
to win a scrapbooking prize. I also want to thank everyone who helped support the
Winchester Hospital fund raiser for a CT Scan  in the  August draw.  

Tons of CHA products are pouring in these days, Halloween, Christmas items and I have
many  Cuttlekids and Cuttlebug machines in stock for the holidays. New gel-a-tins are
here, and  so are new  products from Basic Grey, Making Memories, Imaginisce, Provo
Craft, K & Co, Scenic Route, Tattered  Angels, Crafter’s Workshop,  and tons more!!
Look for a new publication from the makers of The Canadian Scrapbooker magazine as
well as the Fall issue.

Congratulations to Melanie Hill who won the Spring Kit contest. Don’t forget the Fall kits
are here for only $10.00, pages are due November 30th. Pick up a kit, make a page and
you can win a gift certificate.

Christmas is soon coming ( I know you don’t want to hear it) but this is good news to
help you get what you really want, some new scrapbooking supplies!! Come fill out your
scrap wish list and family and friends can pick from your list for  Birthdays or Christmas.
Gift certificates are also available.

I now stock the Cuttlebug as well as the Cuttlekids die cutting machines. I have different
dies and   embossing folders in stock for both machines, as well as the Spellbinders
dies, which work in the Cuttlebug. I can order in any dies you want for these machines
or other die cutting machines you may already have.

Don’t forget my lending library, membership programs, VHS to DVD transfer services
and I will help you design invitations as well.

Children’s birthday party bookings are going so well!! For only $15.00 per child (Birthday
child is free) you can have a paper crafting Birthday party. You can pick between
several different projects   ( altered canvas, clipboard, journals and tons more) and
make the invitations here for free!! There a re a few surprises at the parties as well.
Have you ever thought of having a Birthday party with your adult friends or family?  How
about a mother and daughter or Mother and son crop!! I do adult Birthday parties, as
well as baby, and bridal shower crafting parties. Want to book my studio or have a class
with your friends?  You can book a class or crop at your convenience.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an application for the design team, I will be
announcing the 2 new members in early September. Again, I had many applicants,  I
encourage you to apply again next year if you weren’t chosen. I will be adding 2 more
members next year as well. Choosing design Team members is such a difficult decision
as everyone that applies is so talented!!  Welcome Amy,Jill and Pattie to the design
team!!

It’s a great place to check my hours and see if class spaces are still available.

I am only returning to my other job 1/2 time again this year and the kids will be starting
Junior     Kindergarten this year as well. I am available to open the studio at other times
by appointment. If all goes well with all of your continued support I will be open more
and more, and the plan is to do this Full time someday soon!! Thanks to those who
