| February 2012 News & Events Bring on Spring, I’ve had enough of winter but Spring is just around the corner. There is a winter highlight for me, CHA. CHA is the craft and hobby association trade show, all the newest paper crafting goodies are show cased and for me it’s an ordering frenzy. There are so many new amazing products, it’s so hard to pick!! I will be bringing some collections, tools and many other items into the shop but if there is something you really want be sure to order it from me ahead of time. I am placing my first order this Monday so be sure to get your requests into me asap. Already up for pre-order are Jillibean Soup, Prima, Simple Stories, Tim Holtz, Imaginisce, Bella BLVD, Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket, Authentique, Echo Park, MME, Karen Foster, and many more. These products can be pre-ordered now but many do not arrive for months. Tim Holtz new distress marker sets are up for pre-ordering, I am offering a sale if you pre-order them from me. I am selling the set for only $99, the suggested retail is over $114 US, you must get your order in asap and a $50 deposit is required. These markers are one of CHA’s must have’s I can’t wait to see what everyone creates with them. There are already a few new releases here in the studio. There are new Hockey, soccer, football, Spring, and Easter products. As well as lots of products for Valentine’s day projects. The new Hippity Hop Collection from Imaginisce has arrived as well as a new farm themed collection from Kaisercraft. A couple crops and special events coming up to help chase your winter blues away. There is a fundraising crop and a great deal at only $40 for the day, Dixon’s Corners March 3rd, 9am to 9pm. If you can’t stay to crop feel free to stop by and shop that day, the studio is closed. A percentage of sales go to the Gems cause to help build the school in Africa. Close to my drop in ordering/catalogue party with Diana Saunders. The new Spring/Summer Close To My heart catalogues have arrived. You can place an order with Diana here in the studio until the end of February, catalogues are here to view and even take home if you like. As you all know I love Close to My Heart products especially their stamps and paper packs, stop by to have a look and drop off your order before the end of the month. Coming up for the Spring ( as soon as the weather gets nicer) Copic marker classes, Basic DSLR photography, Spring and Copic card class and more. Have ideas for classes let me know, still looking for teachers in the studio. The Inventory clear out continues, lots of 50 cent papers, and kits and embellishments for 40% off!! Don’t forget to drop off your Winter contest projects before March 1st, 2012. There are a few Winter contest kits available to purchase. The new Spring kits should be available then as well. You can still vote for all the Fall pages next time you stop by the studio. Some changes to note in the new year for the studio in an effort to make things run more smoothly. Note I will be closed some Saturdays and extra days in the New year, please call , check the monthly newsletter, web site or Face book or call first. I always post closures well in advance but do close from time to time on short notice, especially on weekends. Most of you are coming from over an hour away, be mindful and check or call before you come. This does not happen often, but if something comes up that is important I will close, but will try to give you plenty of notice. There will no longer be studio memberships for 2012. I will continue to offer drop in for $3.00 a visit. You can come use all my tools, stamps, punches and get help on your projects during any open hours. I have a Cricut with plenty of cartridges available for use as well, but you must provide your own mat ( Only $13.99 for 2 you can purchase them here). I have the E-craft, Cuttlebug, plenty of Spellbinders, and other supplies to use. I am glad to help between customers. For pre-ordering and classes you must now place a deposit or pay in full or I will not hold your space or place you product orders. I am having an huge inventory blow out sale on many products for the new year to make room for all the new CHA goodies that are coming. 40% off over 40 kits from Basic Grey, October Afternoon, Crate paper, Little Yellow Bicycle, and tons more. Over 200 new papers in the 50 cent bins as well as tons of new items In the 40% off bins many of which are matching embellishments for the papers ( Bo Bunny, Jillibean Soup, Basic Grey, October Afternoon, Echo Park and tons more!!). New products this month include: Winter twig collection from Little Yellow Bicycle, Winter land kits from Fancy Pants. New hockey and racing patterned papers, as well as new embossing folders from Darice, Spellbinders dies, and Martha Stewart punches. Remember I carry children’s science, art and crafting kids perfect for those last minute birthday gifts. I am fully stocked with Smash books with are great for children’s and adult Birthday parties as well. Still a couple of Winter issues of the Canadian Scrapbooker magazine and the Page maps 2012 calendar available. I am loving the sketches and ideas in the Calendar, if you have done any pages please post them on the Face book page we’d all love to see them. Classes will continue in the Spring or once the weather is a bit nicer, if you have a class request or idea please let me know. I am always looking for new ideas and teachers for classes. Also getting the new DSLR photography sessions ready for Spring, I already have a few names please let me know if you are interested. I am working on a mini album class with the Winter twig collection, as well as planning to have another Copic and glimmer mist technique classes. I’d love to have someone come teach a Spring card class, or Copic advanced class get those ideas in!! Draw winner for this month was Lynda Morley from Peterborough, congrats!! Reminder to fill out the monthly draw with each purchase or class. This month you can win one of the new page maps 2012 calendars!! Only a couple of these calendars left. The Design Team is in full swing, lots of new projects to post in the new year. Check Face book often I try to post a few ideas and inspiration from them weekly. Many projects are posted on the web site, check each designers gallery for ideas as well as links to blogs. Remember if you want to keep up to date, send me your email address and I will mail you the monthly newsletter. Join the Face book Fan page and see all the new products, and design team pages before everyone else. There are also Face book only contests. Recycle, reduce, and help others. Please note you can drop off, pop tabs, milk bags, unused coupons, bags with no advertising, as well as unwanted crafting supplies here in the studio. The loot for Luke treat box is still here as well, help a local family with a young boy who has cancer. I am also available to be a vendor for your fund raising event, a percent of my sales for your event will go back you your cause. I support so many organizations, donate supplies, and try to help with so many causes. Please help me to support others, these are easy things to and if we all do little things it will make a big difference.
